L-159 Independent Contractor Pilot

Position Description

  • Pilot a single-seat L-159 in support of various DoD (Department of Defense) contracts.
  • Minimum commitment of 5 sorties per month, prefer 8-10 sorties per month.
  • Must be willing to commit to two years of meeting minimum sortie requirements.
  • Must successfully complete company sponsored aircraft type rating training program followed by FAA examination.
  • Must obtain Commercial Single Engine Land FAA certificate prior to starting training.
  • Must meet minimum requirements for FAA Class II Medical.
  • Company paid housing and per diem on flying days, paid travel to and from site, plus daily rate of pay.      


  • Able to obtain and maintain “Secret” security clearance.
  • Valid, current Driver’s License required.
  • Must be willing to commit to a minimum of 5 sorties per month for a period of 2 years.
  • Tactical flight experience within previous 10 years required.
  • Must have minimum of 750 flight hours in a fighter aircraft.


  • 1,000+ hours of fighter time preferred.
  • Experience within the last 5 years preferred.
  • Experience with fire control radar preferred.
  • Preferred emphasis on air-to-air experience.
